In my current role at MNP LLP I work primarily with small and medium sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations to prepare their year end financial statements, corporate tax returns or regulatory filings. I work on various levels of engagements such as Notice to Readers, Reviews or Audits. When performing these engagements, where applicable, I aid clients in implementing better processes and procedures and I try to add value for the client wherever I can. This could be by having an in-depth discussion on falling gross profits and the impact on this business or on the strong growth of the company and how this has resulted in resource restraints.In addition, when wrapping up a file I enjoy reviewing the file to determine if there are any tax planning strategies that would aid the client in reducing or deferring income taxes. It is important to me to service my client in the best manner possible.
