Field Based - South West Of England And Wales

This is a field based role covering the South West of England and Wales. The customer base is academic libraries within Universities, hospitals and the Government. My main focus is the retention of current business, and the up selling of new products. As the primary point of contact I am tasked with creating good relationships, providing training on our products, problem solving and giving demonstrations and information on new products available. Networking plays a large role in this job and I attend industry road shows and conferences as an EBSCO representative. I am based from home and manage my own appointments.

Rodney Bay, St Lucia, West Indies

Based in Rodney Bay, the main tourist centre of St Lucia, I covered all aspects of the real estate business. I managed the selling, buying and renting of individual properties and developments. My main role was to show prospective purchasers around the island and the available properties with the aim of finding them their perfect holiday home or investment. Building a good rapport with the customers was key here as was passing on my knowledge on St Lucia in general, the buying process there and the properties and developments themselves. The Company also produced a successful property newspaper that I was required to sell advertising space in which to finance the production.

Bristol / Field Based

As Account Manager within for this overseas property company my role was to find and sign up new sub agents as well as maintaining good working relationships with existing ones. I provided ongoing training and service to enable them to sell the properties within our portfolio to their client base. I was required to travel nationally visiting my agents and occasionally help staff their exhibitions. I also had to travel internationally for onsite training for both myself and my agents.
