Teachers assistant for elementary school program focused on healthy eating, cooking, and sustainability. I helped plant community gardens in D.C. public schools, harvest food from those gardens and teach cooking and earth science lessons to kids, grades Pre-k to 5th. Fire Island National Seashore

Volunteered to assist graduate fellows who were conducting research with the National Park Service on Fire Island National Seashore. Spent 2-3 days a week for three summers (2015, 2016, and 2017) assisting with fieldwork and research including vegetation surveys, deer tracking, invasive species management, endangered species management, tick and mosquito collection etc.
