As the Communications Vice President of the Gamma Eta chapter of Alpha Xi Delta, I lead a team of 15 members to produce communications collateral and merchandise to strengthen the chapter’s brand and external relations with families, alumnae and the larger Georgia Tech community. I strategize and implement the chapter’s public relations and marketing plans to captivate various target markets as well as coordinate scheduling and logistics for team meetings to increase productivity and meet project deadlines. I serve as one of eight members on our chapter's executive committee.

I designed and wrote a triannual newsletter and other marketing materials that communicated chapter events and achievements to 300+ families and alumnae. I also facilitated online communication between parents, guardians, and the chapter via email, and I was involved in the planning and execution of our chapter's Bat and Bid Tailgate and Silent Auction, which raised over $4,000 for the Gamma Eta endowed scholarship. In the fall of 2023, I organized our chapter's Family Weekend Tailgate for 350+ friends, families, and guests, collaborating with campus partners, vendors, caterers, and event volunteers on logistics to ensure that everything went off without a hitch!

I managed 2 websites that showcased the Gamma Eta Chapter’s history, sisterhood, philanthropy, and executive board officers to current members, chapter families, and potential members. I also composed 11 blog posts that highlighted the chapter’s social events, sisterhood activities, and current member achievements and testimonies. My efforts boosted audience engagement by 24% on our websites by featuring blog posts across our chapter's social media.

As a Peer Consultant, I tutor 10-15 clients per week on various multimodal, communication-based projects using knowledge of rhetorical strategies and design principles. I also contribute to monthly meetings that research and integrate current writing center pedagogy into center practices. In February 2023, I delivered a presentation on social media marketing in writing center work at the Southeastern Writing Center Association (SWCA) Conference in Memphis, TN. In addition to my tutoring work, I also serve as a member of our Social Media Marketing and Outreach Committee, a role which involves promoting and advertising the center's services by creating social media content, conducting class visits, and leading tours of the center.

As the sole Internal Strategic Communications Intern at Abt, I coordinated and supported 6+ internal teams with their employee communications across multiple channels, providing them with key insights and recommendations to craft clear and engaging messages. My other responsibilities included drafting employee communications including executive emails, internal stories, newsletters, and communications plans to enhance employee understanding of company-wide objectives, accomplishments, and target clientele. I also conducted data analysis of internal email metrics to provide leaders with benchmarks to structure future communications campaigns around engagement growth. By developing guides to educate employees on newsletter, internal email, and leadership communication best uses and practices, I expanded the Internal Communications team’s resource database and services bandwidth.
