My position as Quality & Governance Officer involved a number of different responsibilities. - checking that all candidates coming into the Trust, as well as current staff changing positions have provided enough documentation and supporting evidence to ensure that that can legally carry out the work that they are applying for. - responsible for carrying out pre-employment checks for all of the Junior Doctors that join The Trust as part of their training rotations. This involves gathering all relevant documentation from the Doctors to ensure that they are elligible and legal to carry out their placements.- improving and streamlining recruitment processes to allow for swifter recruitment and more robust governance processes.- solely responsible for all DBS Applications across the entire Trust.- responsible for the application of and maintaince of all UKBA certificates of sponsorship as well as the monitoring of all staff subject to UKBA work permits and their associated restrictions.- monitoring of professional registrations for all qualified staff

My role as employment standards officer involved overseeeing the pre-employment checking stage of the recruitment process. With the support of a recruitment assistant I was responsible for ensuring all pre-employment checks are carried out in accordance with law and trust policy, and in a timely and efficient manner. The trust currently employs over 3,000 staff and therefore the staff turnover is very high, ss a consequence this role was very demanding and required high levels of organisation and use of initiative.

Responsible for all pre-employment recruitment tasks and general HR and Workforce Development administration.

Responsible for ensuring that all relevant staff within the trust had a valid, up to date CRB check.
