The primary responsibilities of the Programs Success manager is to implement and ensure the success through measured outcomes of all projects across the Office of Career & Professional Development. This includes collaborating with the VP of Career & Professional Development as well as the Director of Corporate & Employer Relations to ensure which programs, projects, and processes are most strategic for reaching goals set by the University. Other responsibilities include tracking ad analyzing large data sets across the office, analyzing key performance indicators related to student and employer engagement, developing and delegating assignments for project plans, and generating regular reports and dashboards to communicate insights to the leadership team, facilitating data-driven decision-making.

This position exists to grow the partnerships between the university and local, regional, and national employers across industries. The Employer Relations Specialist, which is a role out of the Career & Professional Development department, actively works to engage employers with the department and university through visits to campus, inviting employers to meet with students, and extending opportunities to attend bi-annual career and internship fairs.

This position exists to strengthen the connection between World Relief Triad and its volunteers, donors, and wider community through managing its web presence, social media, and communications. Responsibilities include creating communications and marketing content, cultivating stories of impact, and empowering the community to advocate on behalf of refugees, survivors of human trafficking, and other immigrants in vulnerable situations. Communication Duties:-Manage and create written content and communication for World Relief Triad, including newsletters, emails, blogs, impact reports, social media, promotional materials, and web presence in concert with office communication strategy. -Manage website in coordination with Home Office -Participate in National Communications Working Group -Track metrics of social media and community engagement -Develop and maintain consistent style, tone, voice, and branding for World Relief Triad -Update and develop training and orientation videos -Occasional community speaking engagements Advocacy Duties:-Develop and maintain relationships with local media outlets -Maintain relationships and communication with local, state, and national civic leaders -Empower and mobilize grass-roots advocacy campaigns -Cultivate and produce both print and video client and community stories

Job entails reporting to the Chancellor of the university and working closely with the Chancellor’s assistant, Shealynn Miller, in her capacity to serve the development efforts. Day to day tasks include assisting in advancement communications, information gathering, alumni and community communications, development office data management, writing /reporting for the web, and assisting the Chancellor’s assistant with internal and external communications. This position also allows me to learn about and support the current initiatives in place for fundraising, participate and contribute to the advancement and visioning efforts, and become part of the advancement efforts for the university. This is a “PEOPLE” job that requires an attention to detail and strong work ethic driven by people skills and motivated to partner with a team.

I work in the office of communications to track coverage for our university and ensure that press releases are getting out on time. On occasion, I attend events to collect quotes for these press releases. I also help write and copyedit news releases, photo releases and event reminders that are sent out to the media as well as conduct research for my colleague's when looking for new reporters to add to our media lists. This job has helped me gain experience with TVEyes and Meltwater which are platforms that help archive digital earned media. Lastly, I help manage the team's Twitter account and ensure there is the proper amount of engagement.

This job involves working directly with my former English professor who is the director of my university's English professional and public writing minor program. I work to produce social media posts as well as other forms of marketing and advertisement through fliers and writing stories for the news and media pages linked to High Point University about students and alumni in the program.

I work as a substitute teacher in place of teachers who are unable to attend their shift at the daycare. The daycare is a nonprofit associated with Daystar Church. I work with children between the ages of newborn to 5th grade. My responsibilities include helping the lead teacher make sure the children are on schedule with their snack times, activities and other needs and also helping to check children in and out of the center.

I served under the director of Piedmont International University's student success center, assisting in various tasks to help retention rates and general success and job preparedness for the students. My responsibilities included tracking grades of students and recording their courses they were struggling in through a cumulative spreadsheet, creating promotional material, like social media posts and fliers advertising for the new writing center, redesigning the web-page for the student success services, and creating resources like guides for format-writing of essays, study tips and help, and guides for our student tutors.

This is an on-campus job where I work with other students at HPU to raise money for our fund for Extraordinary Education. The job mainly entails making calls, writing to donors, and making videos for large gifts. It has also given me opportunities to work with employers in-office and work with other student supervisors.

While I worked here, I worked as a key holder which entailed closing responsibilities, including financial responsibilities, and managing customers and other employees. I also worked with making the drinks and baked goods as well as training other employees on how to make them and run the register and close it.
