For the past 8 years, I have worked in nonprofit fundraising as a Grants Manager and consultant. My work and expertise involves writing winning grant proposals, stewardship reports, and case for support documents; coordinating special events and fundraisers; advising organizations on grant seeking best practices; and carrying out successful prospect research projects focused on institutional funding. As a consultant, I value the opportunity to help non-profits articulate how they make a difference in the world and identify areas of alignment between their missions and the work of institutional funders. Prior to my work in fundraising, I earned an MA in Public History and worked for organizations and nonprofits with missions focused on historic preservation and historic interpretation, including the National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution, Indiana Historical Society, Indiana DNR/SHPO, Cleveland Restoration Society, and Western Reserve Historical Society.
