Hello! My name is Abby McBride and I am originally from Valparaiso Indiana, but I am studying Health and Kinesiology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. My ultimate goal with an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology is to go to graduate school to become an Occupational Therapist. I always wanted to pursue a profession in healthcare that allows me to give back and help others. A career in occupational therapy with allow me to build relationships with my patients while providing them with the proper care. I want to make a positive impact on the world.I have a lot of experience working with children, which I hope to incorporate in my future job one day. I have held a job as a summer nanny for the past four summers, have coached tennis lessons to elementary aged children, and currently work at a daycare on campus. I have a strong passion for working in this age group. So far as a student at Purdue University, I have made the Dean's List, joined the College Mentors for Kids Organization and Pete's Pals, and became a part of Delta Gamma Sorority, now holding a leadership position.
