Baltoro Growth Fund I (LPs: USAid and Dhabi group) is focused on growth equity investments in middle market companies. The sector agnostic fund invests in sustaintainable businesses across Pakistan. At Baltoro, I was responsible for all aspects of transactions and led several initiatives, including- Sourcing, managing and executing end-to-end investment deal flow by developing and maintaining relationships with sell-side advisors, investment banks, boutiques and entrepreneurs.- Due diligence of potential private equity investments in various sectors by reviewing/preparing financial models and projections, analyzing business models and interviewing management- Negotiate deal structures, prepare investment proposals and present new investment recommendations to the Investment Committee- Monitor and analyze current portfolio performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop value-added strategies to increase company profitability- Valuing assets using discounted cash flow, comparables, precedent transactions, replacement cost, and other alternative valuation methods- Exit planning (via IPO, private sale or structured exits) for portfolio companies and lead high-stakes negotiations with co-investors and other partners- Preparation of pitch deck for Baltoro Growth Fund II - core part of the team representing the fund to institutional investors (IFC, FMO, BII / CDC)- Recruiting / hiring junior team members and ensuring quality of deliverables

Alfalah Investments manages open ended mutual funds and offers investment advisory services to high net-worth individuals and corporate clients in Pakistan.At Alfalah, I worked as an investment analyst covering listed banks and insurance companies. My responsibilities included:- Building over 15 financial models from scratch, valuing companies using Dividend Discount Model (DDM), Residual Income, Justified P/B Multiples and Relative Valuation (Comparables) methodologies- Analyzed the financial sector to identify lucrative investment opportunities (w.r.t. value and growth strategies) - Identified investment risks and performed detailed scenario and sensitivity analysis to minimize and manage downside risks associated with the investment portfolio- Analyzed macroeconomic data and trends to support the development of the fund's investment strategy

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd. (PTCL) is the national telecommunication company in Pakistan. PTCL provides telephone and internet services nationwide, with a market share of 74% in the the fixed broadband business.I was a core part of the financial reporting and oversight team at PTCL. My responsibilites included: - Designing the model for implementation of IFRS 9 - expected credit loss model - Leading the team responsible for the internal valuation of the company- Assisting with preparation of the company’s interim and annual financial statements for statutory reporting
