I did my M.Sc.(Statistics) from Lucknow University,Lucknow,India in 1968 and M.Phil(1970),Ph.D.(1971) in Statistics from Aligarh Muslim University(AMU), Aligarh,India and taught for more than 40 years at AMU. I was Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Operations Research,AMU and Dean,Faculty of Science,AMU,before retiring in 2011..I also worked as Associate Professor for 2 years(1984-86) in Al Fateh University,Tripoli,Libya,and 3 years(1986-89) in Al Yarmouk University,Irbid,Jordan and was promoted as Professor by Al Yarmouk University in 1989.I also served 2 years(1999-2001) in King Saud University.Riyadh,Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Professor. I was actively involved in Research and produced dozens of M.Phil. and Ph.D.students and published about 100 papers in journals of repute and reviewed papers for journals.Many of my students are in respectable positions working in different capacities.I have also organized/attended many National/International Conferences in India and Abroad.One of our book on Theory of Estimation has just been published by Prentice Hall of India.
