Malik leads AKF’s global economic inclusion portfolio which includes: - Accelerate Prosperity, a global initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network in Central and South Asia which provides technical expertise, creative financing solutions and market connections for small and growing businesses.- AKF’s Future of Work initiative, a global initiative currently under development which will support training in digital skills and growth professions, promote digitally-enabled businesses and new work models for youth, and catalyze impact sourcing from global and local businesses to generate work for disadvantaged youth.- Clean energy, which includes off-grid micro hydel projects in remote rural communities and testing related innovative business models.- Access to Finance, which includes community based savings groups and community managed funds.Malik previously served as the General Manager of the Aga Khan Rural Support Programme in Pakistan. He has worked with the World Bank and the Brookings Institution, and has 18 years of experience in economic development and international development assistance. His experience and expertise focus on youth employability, value chains, renewable energy and civil society.Malik holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
