Project Engineer - Corridor Control
Current• Support, coordinate and complete the technical review and commenting of submissions, and operational activities which have an impact on the Regional road system to preserve the functional integrity of the present and future road network.• Assist with providing technical leadership and direction to staff and clients.• Contribute to identifying and securing funding for Regional road improvements and programs to ensure proposals, projects and programs are financially feasible by identifying and addressing financial implications, and monitoring, reviewing, and recommending fee structures for services.• Mentor, collaborate and guide Regional staff to ensure the most effective and cost-efficient use of staff resources.• Support and promote staff responsibility by training and coaching staff.• Assist with the initiation, preparation and delivery of plans and proposals for complex transportation projects and plans pertaining to the Regional road system by conducting engineering studies and research.• Develop, implement and follow work plans for budget considerations, by examining alternatives, and proposing and providing recommendations.• Facilitate the Division's role in coordinating transportation matters involving multiple divisions, departments and external agencies by providing input into the scope and vision for inter-department and inter-agency projects.• Represent the Regional Corporation to satisfy legislated requirements and expectations.• Work in accordance with the provisions of applicable health and safety legislation and allcorporate/departmental policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety.
