Prepare daily activity report for all shipments in transit and under customs clearance. Monitor the progress of the customs clearance process, obtain necessary governmental approval to release shipments and escalate any problem to the General *Manager for action whenever needed. *Coordinate the flow of shipping documents from the supplier and shipping agents. *Follow up on the issuing of Form 4 and shipping the endorsed document to the *Customs Clearing Agent to start the customs clearance process. Receive customs duties payment requests from Clearing Agents. *Communicate with Treasury to ensure availability of funding. *Follow up with Accounts Payable to effect payment of duties on timely manner. *Create and maintain a database for all import transactions, including Form 4 and endorsed documents, customs release form and sales invoice. In addition, maintains a proper hard copy filing for all customs release and receipts. *Maintain a log for all permits and license of the company. *Follow up on the renewal in a timely manner. *Implement the internal control and compliance packages of Star Egypt.
