About Abdullah Shaikh

A bit about me:I was born and raised in South Africa. Started my journey out by studying something I am very passionate about: economics and econometrics. After being exposed to the wonders of working with data, I branched off econometrics and decided to pursue a career in data science. Skills acquired in this field can be used to make a difference in others' lives; something else that I am really passionate about. I am very excited for this new chapter. A few pivotal moments along the way:★ Participated in a national economics olympiad at age 13 and placed third at the state/province level. ★ Becoming a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society as well as the UJenius Society in 2017.★ Graduated my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees with distinction (Cum Laude) in 2018 and 2019.★ Penned my own research article (the postgraduate dissertation) in 2019 as well as an opinion article (published by Salaamedia) in 2020.
