Psychiatric Consultant with focus in providing holistic care for patients with resistant mood and anxiety disorders, with over two decades of experience in clinical practice. I have been in many leadership roles across clinical development, training and policy making, including being head of the national committee for mental health and addiction treatment with Saudi Health Council for three years. This was supported with multiple training in Quality and organization dynamics.I obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the King Saud University in 2001. I continued my learning achieving a SSC-Psych from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, a fellowship in mood disorders at the Queen’s University in Canada and then a further fellowship at the University of Toronto for mood and anxiety disorders.I actively participates at many psychotherapy training courses, including fundamental CBT courses, advance trainer and supervisor courses at IPT and MI, and CBASP courses. I had also four years psychoanalysis part-time training at the Tampa Institute for psychoanalytic studies.Working with adults, I got a wealth of experience and I am fluent in both Arabic and English. I am trying to use some of the most pioneering techniques and bespoke approaches to each person, designed to identify and address the individual’s needs and requirements. I believe that treatment is a collaborative process and one where the client is empowered to achieve their treatment and recovery goals.
