I am a highly motivated and detail-oriented engineer by education and training. I did my bachelors in electrical engineering from Habib University, and was introduced to programming for the first time during my undergraduate. I immediately fell in love with it. The experience & feeling of manipulating variables on a screen till they make sense according to a particular logic and produce a desired output is simply unparalleled. This passion greatly influenced the selection of electives and projects throughout my undergraduate studies. Then in Summer 2019, I had the opportunity to visit Stanford as a part of their International Honours Program. There I learnt about (then) emerging concepts like Big Data, Data Science, Deep learning and more, first-hand from Silicon Valley experts in my courses on Technology Entrepreneurship and High Performance Computing. These (admittedly somewhat buzzwords) weren't as commonly thrown around my Pakistani academic/social circle back then. I found the combination of Math, Statistics, Programming and Problem Solving in this field to be highly invigorating, and have been invested in exploring the domain ever since.Therefore, despite my background in Electrical Engineering and Physics, I switched to the Computer Science domain upon graduation, joining Airlift Technologies (A Pakistan based start-up making breakthroughs in quick commerce) as a Software Engineer. However, l remain interested in exploring Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision and other fields present within the CS umbrella.My academic and past record speaks for itself.
