My key responsibilities include the following : - Preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with applicable International Financial Reporting Standards and Banking Specific Reporting Standards - Segment Profitability reporting of various business units including Treasury, Branchless Banking, Branch Operations and Lending - Budgeting & Planning Process of the Entire Bank which includes the following: - Budgeting and planning of the Bank and individual branch wise budget of all branches as well as Branchless Banking operations - Segment Wise Budgeting - Five year Business Plan - Detailed variance analysis of actual performance of the Bank and individual branches with their budgeted targets, ensuring effective monitoring and analysis - Responsible for monthly reporting for higher management, which includes CAPEX reporting, product wise portfolio analysis, Business Indicators report, Mark-up and Fee income analysis, Budget variance analysis report and expense comparison report. - Responsible to perform analysis on various advances products to obtain the reason of low/high gross yield. Also analyze the Deposits side (CASA and TD) to obtain the information about high cost deposits, top 20 customers, Gap analysis and maturities. - Responsible to perform analysis on Branchless Banking activities, which include trend analysis of Revenue and forecasting revenues. - Preparation of data for Audit Committee, BOD, ALCO & Investment Committee Meeting - Liaisoning with external auditors in performing of audit of financial statements of the bank including Audit of Internal Controls - Liaisoning with State Bank of Pakistan Auditors and Internal auditors - Review of accounting & financial reporting matters including fixed assets, prepayments, receivables, payables etc. - Review of Central Bank’s Reporting - Preparation of Accounting and other Manuals relevant to the Finance Department (e.g. Accounting Manual and Finance Procedural Manual)
