Currently at Strata, I am charged to lead and manage Internal Audit Department and reporting to the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. I am responsible to develop risk based Internal Audit plans, and ensure the delivery of assurance/advisory engagements focused on protecting or enhancing firm’s value. Key Responsibilities: • Develop long-term risk-based internal audit plans and ensuring timely delivery of audit plan.• Develop and manage budget for the Internal Audit function.• Managing team of professionals and consultants and ensuring compliance with approved Internal Audit Methodology.• Develop/Update Internal Audit Strategy and ensure implementation.• Ensure adequate stakeholder management by engaging at Committee meetings, Leadership meetings and other forums.

My work mainly covers following aspects;• Responsible to develop and manage Internal Audit function within the group and its related entities.• Develop, manage and supervise a team of professionals in Internal Audit Department.• Advise Group and its related companies in matters referred by the Board to Internal Audit.• Reporting to Board of the Holding Company.• Assess organization’s risks and develop risk based annual internal audit plans. • Review Group wide Governance Practices and provide recommendations for improvements• Provide independent opinion on the overall effectiveness of Internal Controls within the Group.• Plan, execute, report and follow – up audits.• Perform special engagements as per the request from the management and the Board.• Providing assistance in the preparation of internal policies and procedures.Other Roles:Served as an Audit Committee member in one of group entities operated under the CBUAE, reporting to the Board, assisting in decision making etc.
