I am an Industrial Engineering intern and a junior at Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai. When I think of myself and how my circle describes me, the words that come to my mind are: kind hearted, optimistic and empathetic. To give an example, recently, some areas of my city (Hyderabad) were flooded due to heavy rains. Witnessing the situation first hand, I was very moved and therefore, I contributed my pocket money and also collected additional funds from my family and friends. Together, we managed to raise 125,000 rupees and we distributed it among the affected people.I have also been described as a curious person. Growing up, I used to break open toys to collect wound springs from wind-up toys, electric motors from remote control cars, magnets from broken radios and gears from watches. Such investigations gave me a sense of accomplishment and helped me learn about things around me.Today, I believe that I am a mature adult and my educational background, family support, upbringing and experiences have helped me transform into this version of mine. Now, I am strongly driven by a desire to utilize my skills and energy towards the betterment of our societies and nature and I am happy and proud to feel this way. I am always on the move and through knowledge and the right opportunity, I will hopefully make a positive contribution.
