 Provided technical, operational and administrative leadership and support to the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association for managing the Girl Powered Nutrition programme through education, awareness and advocacy strategies. Closely worked with the Curriculum Designer in the process of curriculum development adaptation, translation, proofreading, printing and digitalization of GPN activity packs and facilitating teacher training programmes in all three languages. Managed a team of 17 Girl Powered Nutrition Advocacy Champions empowering them to raise their pertinent to adolescent girls’ nutrition.

Puttalam And Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka

 Provided programmatic leadership and coordination support for the management of four EU funded programmes (Education, Child Protection, and WASH & Health & Nutrition) in the Puttalam and Anuradhapura districts of Sri Lanka. Supported strengthening vulnerable communities through integrated health, water and sanitation, education and child protection services such as capacity building, supplies, construction, trainings and strengthening school attendance committees and child protection committees.

Northern Province, Sri Lanka

 Provided professional, technical, operational and administrative support in the preparation, management and execution of the education section of the Country Programme with funds from EU, AusAid, IRISH and KOICA, facilitated a variety of technical programmatic strategies towards the implementation, progress monitoring, evaluation and reporting of early childhood and primary education programs. Extended programmatic, technical and operational leadership to the establishment of Early Childhood Education Forum, contributed inputs to develop strategies and action plans in line with the national and provincial ECE guidelines advocating child friendly early childhood education approach. Promoted and strengthened mutual understanding, peace and social cohesion through innovative home grown strategies among school communities segregated by language, culture, tradition and religious practices.

Eastern Province, Sri Lanka

 Contributed with technical and professional inputs to the development, management and implementation of the Education Section of Country Programme with special focus to the development of strategies and plans for education in emergencies interventions. Co Led the Education Cluster together with Save the Children International strengthening the intervention of EiE needs and gaps in the areas across three eastern districts. Provided professional programmatic leadership and management of education in emergencies related school construction, renovation, provision of Temporary Learning Spaces, supplies ensuring education opportunities for the displaced and resettled children in the war affected areas. Facilitated development of contextualised curriculums, teacher training programmes and capacity building of education authorities.

Eastern Province, Sri Lanka

 Extended coordination and technical support to the livelihood recovery of tsunami and conflict affected communities through district administration mechanism in Trincomalee district. Focal point for coordinating early recovery cluster in Batticaloa district. Provided leadership to the early recovery cluster to carry out emergency livelihood needs assessment and early recovery gap analysis across and within the sector using information management tools,maintained a monitoring mechanism to track the progress of ER sector strategy by monitoring and reporting on activities

Trincomalee, Sri Lanka

 Provided professional support and inputs for the planning, development and implementation strategy of the emergency information management system for the tsunami affected population. Designed and implemented a dissemination plan for all information products produced by OCHA (e.g., situation reports, data, maps) among the humanitarian community and government departments.  Provided leadership to the team of data collectors of the Transitional Shelter Site Tracking (TSST) and production of its final findings.  Provided training to the cluster partners on information management and standards. Supervised and managed 2 GIS Officers.
