School LibrarianSt. Thomas English Medium High School Jun 2019 - Feb 2021Kayankulam, Kerala, IndiaAs a dedicated school librarian, I played a pivotal role during the challenging transition to online education prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic. With a commitment to supporting our educators and students, I embarked on several significant initiatives:1. Transforming the School Library into a Digital Hub: - Embracing the digital age, I spearheaded the transformation of our traditional school library into a dynamic digital hub. This involved implementing a robust software management system, making digital resources easily accessible to both students and faculty.2. Edutainment Programs for Students: - To keep our young learners engaged and motivated during this challenging period, I introduced a series of edutainment programs. These interactive sessions were delivered using a projector system and were designed to foster both learning and enjoyment.3. Teacher Training for Online Classes: - Recognizing the importance of seamless online education, I provided extensive training to our teachers. This encompassed everything from mastering the art of online instruction to leveraging effective video editing techniques. These initiatives mentioned above have done a lot to help me overcome my limitations in problem solving and implementing innovative ideas. If I get the chance to become a school or college librarian, I am researching how the possibilities of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things can be used in libraries. If I can do this, I believe that other school librarians can also lead the library in a better way. -
