When I entered the workforce in 2000, I was fortunate to learn things the hard way. Fortunate that in my lifespan I have been through take-whatever-job-you-can and make-it-work-for-you, recessions, stock market crashes, Dot Com bust, immigration, wars, angel investors, VCs, PEs, M&A, massive-scale digital transformation, pandemic, redefining moments in tech, from being just another vendor to building a company that is seen as a partner in success by our school and institution clients. Fortunate to participate in ventures and products that failed, that made it big, and fortunate to have a mentor who believed in my ability to explore unchartered territories. I was fortunate to learn by doing, not speculating - it failed, it worked. If I had the resources and the options to learn from the best educators, counselors, and mentors during my formative years, I could have made things work faster, or maybe not. But I was not fortunate enough to get equitable access to learning opportunities when compared to many of my peers, colleagues, and batchmates, which I needed the most to do better in what I loved doing. The latter is the focus of my work and my social responsibilities. Equitable access to career readiness, career pathways, and growth. I am focused on doing my bit to ensure that more and more students get equitable access to high-quality learning resources, and learning opportunities, and most importantly empower teachers and faculty to personalize and individualize learning for their students. And I am fortunate that I have the resources, relationships, friends, clients, leaders, and a company that allows me to keep trying and do my bit.
