As a Senior Associate in Air India, I continue to work in DGCA Liaising, where I handle technical scrutiny and approval processes for regulatory compliance. Additionally, I am responsible for coordinating with various vendors and OEMs to address technical issues and queries faced in-line on our A350 and A320 fleets.My role involves ensuring timely resolution of operational challenges, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and supporting fleet performance through effective technical and regulatory management.

After completing my GET program and probation, I was appointed as a Junior Associate in Air India. In this role, I was assigned to the Airbus Fleet Technical Management team, where I worked on managing in-line technical issues and coordinating fleet-wide modifications for Airbus aircraft. My responsibilities included addressing operational challenges and ensuring seamless fleet performance.At the beginning of 2024, I transitioned to a new role as a Technical Expert in DGCA Liaising. In this capacity, I conducted technical scrutinies for obtaining Special Operations approvals for 25 newly inducted Airbus aircraft from the DGCA. Additionally, I was responsible for technical scrutinies of Minimum Equipment Lists (MELs) for the A320 and newly inducted A350 fleets, successfully obtaining the required approvals.This role enhanced my technical knowledge, regulatory expertise, and ability to manage critical tasks essential for operational readiness and compliance.

During my six-month tenure as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) in the Technical Services Department of Air India, I gained practical exposure to the department’s key functions: technical fleet management, reliability analysis, and modifications implementation. I rotated across all three sub-departments, contributing to various critical tasks:Modifications Cell (First Two Months):Reviewed Service Bulletins (SBs) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs) issued by regulatory bodies and ensured their timely implementation on the fleet. This enhanced the safety and compliance of our aircraft.Reliability Department (Next Two Months):Focused on creating engineering statistical reports, calculating Severity Index, and analyzing components to assess and improve their reliability.Fleet Technical Management (Last Two Months):Addressed real-time issues in the fleet, performed technical analyses, and worked on modifications to resolve operational challenges.These experiences allowed me to develop a strong foundation in aviation while learning industry standards and practices, significantly enhancing my technical and analytical skills.
