● Reviewing application logs from server and SumoLogic UI, taking thread dumps/heap dumps and providing troubleshooting steps● System Health and availability - Ensuring all systems are operational and handle initial response from our alerting systems.● Handling Tickets from automation monitoring tool and reaching out to Operations group and next level based on the priority.● Proactively Managing and troubleshooting of all servers in the client network● Incident Management - Managing the coordination of an active incident.● Following regular operational procedures and complete all assigned tasks during the shift.● Monitoring the servers health, CPU Load, disk space, services and system resources.● Resolving the disk space issues by compressing the logs or purging the old logs.● Ticketing the alerts and following the standard operating procedure(SOP) as per SLA for resolution of an incident.● Automating the scheduled jobs using crontab.● Creating and updating the Runbook for every alerts with resolution steps in the confluence.● Assisting and working with the on-shore team during the release and upgrade of an application.● User and group administration like creating user and group accounts, assigning the permissions.● Archiving and backup the logs using the tar and rsync.● Troubleshooting the Java related issues by taking thread and heap dump for further analysis.● Monitoring and managing the system performance of CPU utilization, virtual memory, system events and disk space.● Deploying the patches and upgrades with respect to the software and OS.
