DutiesThe key purpose of this role was to take responsibility for the daily financial credit control functions on behalf of the principle members of the schemeRecovering of medical aid contributions by means of notifying the members of arrears and the medium of communication contact was email, and telephone callsHandling all admin functions e.g. issue members with arrears letters, update promise to pays and diarise with clear precise notes and daily monitoring of promise to pays, also doing write offs on active credits, taking the rules and procedures of the scheme into account.Minimizing losses by delivering and maintaining work standards and quality within the given processThe aim of the process is to reduce discrepancies , collect as much debt as possible and clear discrepancies on the age analyses Always ensuring that all administration functions that affect contribution raising are done timely to reduce any possible obstacles that my raise unnecessary discrepancies with contributions E.g.: termination of memberships, suspension of memberships, requisitions of refunds on member portions, which also affected the age analyses Weekly feedback to manager in terms of workflow on age analysesDoing recons and Master Member Reconciliation for companies, also staying in touch with the accountant responsible for the pay over of their companies’ staff medical aid contributionsResponsible for full service of brokers, companies, membersMaintenance of members profiles e.g. adding and removing of beneficiaries, doing continuation of memberships, doing plan option changes, supplying principle members with tax certificates which reflected contributions paid for the tax year.Liaising with the Executors of Estates and supplying them with necessary legal documentation and information of solvency and insolvenciesBank statement checking to identify payments and send to cash book department to do the allocation, thus also clearing discrepancies
