In my current internship, I am involved in various aspects of rehabilitation and client care. I observe group therapy sessions, assist with client monitoring and reporting, and complete administrative tasks. I participate in client intake, including arrival procedures, and engage in activities like sports and meditation. I work closely with counsellors, gaining valuable insights into therapy techniques and client management. As a recovery coach, I support clients in building personalised plans for long-term success, helping them develop the skills and mindset necessary for sustained sobriety. Additionally, I also lead recovery plus sessions for first month clients, where I guide groups of individuals through goal-setting and personal development. These roles are key in fostering deeper client engagement and ensuring holistic support throughout the recovery journey.
