I am currently working at the Iowa Athletics Department with the Live Event Production Team. Here I read the event scripts and decide when to put up the graphics during the games/meet. I work with the Iowa Athletic Marketing Team who helps create the graphics that are shown during the event. I am in charge of making sure the graphics are displayed on the Daktronics Board at the event to help promote the sponsors and athletes.

Here I regulated and ensured that the pool was a safe environment for all patrons. I am also WSI certified so I taught swimming lessons to children. I had to plan lessons for students that were fun, attainable, and impactful. I also politely instructed and demonstrated water safety for students and all patrons at the pool.

During the second semester of my senior year I was able to be my High School and Middle School Athletic Director's Intern. By doing this, I learned more about this position and what the AD does on a daily basis. Over the semester, I did inventory on all of the basketball, softball, and baseball uniforms, scheduled sporting events for the 2025-2026 seasons, created GameDay graphics for our school's Facebook account, created graphics for the scoreboard, set up the scoreboard before games, welcomed opposing teams into our school before games or meets, and organized, planned, and ran our Elementary Track Meet that happens every year during the Spring. Overall, I really enjoyed this internship and learned more about working within Sports and Recreation!

During the summer, I worked as a custodian in my school district. I cleaned rooms, waxed floors, washed walls, moved furniture, and several other smaller tasks. We deep cleaned the building, so when students and staff came back it was ready for the upcoming school year.
