Geomagnetism Research Lab Assistant: I employ a Magnetic Spectrometer to measure the magnetism of rocks throughout time from around the world to pinpoint their exact age. I utilize the Chipmunk Basic analysis program to measure the carbon content of rock samples from all over the world. I prepare samples for these processes inventory rock samples in the lab for more efficient storage. I employ a Field-Magnetic Spectrometer and Field-Mass Spectrometer in the field at Shabuta/Red Bluff outcrops in Hiwannee, MS to collect instant magnetism and atomic composition readings in the field to aid a Senior-level Geology course class field trip in field-equipment use.Nuclear Science Lab Assistant: I employ the Gamma Spectrometer to measure the percentage of certain radioactively decaying materials in rock samples from all over the world for various research projects.
