His father Joe, a professional football coach, and his mother, Patricia, an artist, instilled in Thom a solid base from which to grow. His natural sense of color and composition was apparent at a very early age and his parents encouraged his talent. A color drawing done by Thom, not yet two years of age, hangs framed in his studio. Although multi-talented, (Thom is also a accomplished musician and photographer in addition to his painting, sculpting, printmaking and jewelry design skills) he always continued to draw and paint throughout his education. He studied painting and printmaking in college earning his B.A. in Fine Art from San Diego State University in 1974. They specialized in consumer and professional drones, remote control hobby products, and video production. They provided drone enthusiasts a place to purchase the latest products, receive advice, trade best-practices, and build the foundation for the droning community. My roles and responsibilities included (but were not limited to): managing the social media accounts for all stores and agencies internationally; being the point person for all media related training, development and inquiries; and creating content and marketing campaigns that build branding and stronger collaborative partnerships with our clients, advertisers and manufacturers.Sadly, Drones Plus shut its doors December 2016.

Camel Hump offered private professional rehearsal spaces, top of the line recording, photography & video, in house audio engineering, graphic design, and merchandise production.
