An internal wall was also stripped back to exposed brick to create a feature of the only known building that contains bricks manufactured at the short-lived Carnamah Brick Works in 1930.The development and improvement of The Exchange was supported by community members, CBH Group, Shire of Carnamah, Lotterywest, Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal, and the Australian Government's Building Better Regions Fund.
