GENERAL PURPOSE: The PROSHAR Commodity Support Associate will provide support to the PROSHAR commodity management team. He/she will directly support the Commodity Support Manager (CSM) with commodity data tracking, data checking and data compilation to maintain accurate commodity reporting of all Title II food commodities movement under PROSHAR including receipts, loans, inter warehouse transfers, dispatches, distributions and losses. He/she will preserving different documents for Commodity management team, as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Verify accuracy of all McAid data entered by field and warehouse staff. • Compile data for preparation of commodity management reports from the primary information received in excel/word from the field/warehouse• Prepare draft distribution plan for the Commodity Support Manager based on the primary information received from the upazila team• Maintain hard copy of documents/records/reports etc.• File ‘post distribution muster rolls’ in an organized manner• Help the Khulna warehouse staffs in tallying during receipt of commodities from port• Assist in day to day activities of the Commodity Support Manager and Sr. Commodity Manager• Maintain all required documentation for each commodity movements, i.e., from the Port to Khulna warehouses, Khulna warehouses to Upazila warehouses, warehouses to distribution centers and finally to end-users/beneficiaries• Maintain core commodity records, and files including shipment files, shipment register, loss claims file and loss claims register• Other tasks as assigned by the Commodity Support Manager and or the Senior Commodity Manager

• Carry out specific technical tasks in the field and demonstrate these to IMO and GoB staff. • Provide technical support to GoB officials to implement infrastructure works as per CLP design and specifications;• Ensure IMO and LGI staff in assigned District(s) are following CLP Project Summaries and other project implementation guidelines to complete project activities, within the agreed timeframe, and to the highest standards;• Ensure that relationships with IMOs, char dwellers and all other key stakeholders are amicable, productive, mutually beneficial and conducive to a long term relationship;• Coordinate and liaise with local government authorities as and when necessary;• Ensure that all work is performed to the highest ethical and professional standards, including participating in prevention and correction of possible corruption, harassment and conflicts of interest.• Conduct training/workshops for LGI staff and ensure good understanding of project methodologies;• Assist LGI staff and char dwellers in selecting and forming local level committee for implementing and supervising infrastructure activities;• Assist LGIs with technical know how in selecting, monitoring and supervising infrastructure works;• Assist LGIs and local committees in pre-work and post-work measurement of infrastructure schemes. DIOs will do 100% checking of pre-work and post-work measurement.• Participate in joint survey with Upazila designated officials for pre and post work measurement and work progress; • Recommend fund release to UPs and Upazilas based on agreed criteria and norms; • Recommend fund release from UP to local committee based on set performance and implementation criteria and work progress;• Assist the LGIs in preparing FR and FSR reports;• Monitor performance of LGIs and provide necessary information and data to District Office/Secretariat for performance reward and sanctions.

• Conduct independent monitoring visit at assigned warehouses in routine basis. Sometimes to visit with different physical counting team at warehouses. i.e. check commodity are stacked properly, documents are maintained properly and check other factors as per the guideline• Under supervision of Hub M&E Officer, conduct end-use monitoring to verify the consumption/ utilization of distributed food by targeted beneficiaries.• Implement Gender related work like, RBA, Gender equity and diversity, Women Rights, Prevent Dowry, Early marriage, Domestic violence in the SHOUHARDO II Program working area by conducting Gender session, FGD etc. to the large gathering of Pregnant and Lactating mother as well as all commodity distributors.• Conducting training on Gender to PNGO staffs and Community.• Conduct Gender awareness activities at 12 FDPs to make gender friendly environment during Food distribution.• Check and verify that all scooping materials/ equipment are available in the distribution point and banners are displayed in a visible location.• Verify that waybill are filled up the correctly and copies are return back to the respective warehouses• Monitor the FDP selection procedure and Ration Card Distribution activities.

• Ensure commodity distribution from 46 FDPs properly to program beneficiaries in each month following the SC policies & procedure and Donor regulations.• Prepare commodity transportation schedule on average 110.00 MTs commodities in each month and ensure Logistic support for commodity Team.• Prepared Distribution plan of 13 unions on average 26000 rations in each month for Bhola Sadar Upazila including remote char areas.• Ensure to hire the appropriate Local transport/vehicles through selected vendors for commodities transportation from Warehouse to end distribution points & Upazila stores each month in regular basis. • Ensure all sorts of equipments & tools for 06 commodity distribution teams are available at Upazila based commodity staffs & distribution points.• Make available of adequate & appropriate numbers/quantities of Outlet, Waybill formats, approved distribution plan, truck schedule and other necessary documents to each distribution team within my jurisdiction.• Preparation and update Beneficiary List, Master Roll and Health & Ration Card from 13 unions timely and following the program policy and distribute health & ration cards to beneficiary well in advance with proper records.• Supervise and prepared performance management of 06 FO-Commodity staffs. • Assist to Officer-Commodity with close coordination and communication with the members within the commodity team as well as with the health team, information dissemination to the program beneficiaries through CHVs regarding distribution date & time, coordination with logistics service providers and Warehouse In-Charge regarding commodities dispatch in each month.• During SIDR-2007 played a vital role as Upazila Distribution Officer –UCDO at Bhola Sadar & Daulatkhan Upazila to ensure 6000 beneficiaries ration for 03 months and Assistant Warehouse in charge at Pirojpur district
