The analysis was comprised with both existing and new equipment items for finding out the equipment criticality list, and operational availability of the plant.

Client: Wajax, Calgary ABProject: Condition Monitoring System Development for Ojibway Salt Mine (K+S Canadian Salt Ltd, Windsor, ON) Underground Equipment. Scope/Description: Design, selection, purchase and supply of instrumentation (sensor, associated connectors, wiring and switch BNC box) for four different transporter lines of the underground mining. Also preparing the engineering package for Installation, Commissioning, Operating and Maintenance procedure of this CMS project.

Client: ENMAX Power Corporation, AB; Merck, NC USA Project: District Energy System (DES) Edmonton ProjectScope/Description: Project feasibility study, cost of ownership analysis, and calculate level of service for DES Edmonton by estimating probability that this system will produce a specified thermal energy output of hot water for stated boiler configurations. The scope was included to: i) develop different models based on Project P&ID, flow diagram, customer demand (present and future), and regulatory consideration; ii) develop spreadsheet for project cost estimation and assign cost such as total installation cost (TIC); operational & maintenance cost, lost opportunity cost and utility cost, iii) assign formulae and necessary logics to calculate cost of ownership considering 40 years of project life time; and iv) develop and prepare project risk register of selected model.Project: Project C/CMV Launch Facility Design- Durham, NC Scope/Description: Executed the reliability analysis for the Project C/CMV Launch Facility assets and associated utilities design. The scope was included to: i) formulate and model the RBD, failure models and reliability information of the Project C/CMV Launch Facility. Review the RAMS analysis results related to the Operational Availability for the Base Case, and the facility supply Asset Criticality List that indicates the equipment ranked in importance based on their contribution to production losses due to unplanned and planned maintenance activities; ii) evaluate whether the Operational Availability criteria is achievable for the Project C/CMV Launch Facility assets and associated utilities design established during the Basis of Design (BOD) and Front-End Planning (FEL-3) phase; and iii) provide recommendations on how to improve overall Operational Availability of the Base Case – based on the results of the Facility Supply Asset Criticality List.

Clients: Suncor Energy Inc. -Edmonton Refinery, Husky Energy - Ram River Sour Gas Plant , Devon Energy– Jackfish SAGD Project, Trans Alta - Sundance Power Plant , Shell Canada -Jumping Pound Gas Complex, and ConocoPhillips - Surmont SAGD Project.Scope/ Responsibility: i) Interfaced with Project Coordinator / Manger and work with field supervision to identify and develop corrective actions for hazardous work conditions or unsafe employee actions; ii) provided assistance to project and department management personnel to ensure compliance with all safety, accident and fire programs, procedures and policies; iii) interfaced and coordinated regularly with H&S representatives from other functional units to share successes, best practices and ensure the alignment of policies and procedures; iv) monitored and maintained the safety documentation, track hazard assessments; and reports on the overall effectiveness of the safety program; and v) conducted incident investigations and corrective actions when required using established incident investigation principles, and ensured data is captured effectively.

School of Mining and Petroleum Engineering Master’s Final Project Report: Production System Analysis of SAGD Wells Scope/Description: The purpose of this report was to demonstrate the production system analysis of a typical Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) process for in situ heavy oil extraction. The effect of reservoir parameters and operating conditions on the perspective of production system optimization was described in the report. Numerical reservoir simulation was done to get the IPR (Inflow Performance Relationship) by using commercial CMG’s STARS simulation software; and an analytical model was developed to calculate the pressure drop along the production tubing. Finally, optimum production tubing size was found out by applying NODAL analysis method.

Some of the Major Projects:• Feasibility Study and Detail Design of City Water Supply and Sanitation Project- Main part of this project was 2.23 million gallon/day capacity of a water treatment plant and 4.5 km water pipe line from raw water intake system to main settling tank of the water treatment plant. My job scope was to design and select pumps, valves, piping support, joints, equipment/plant layouts, process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams, control philosophies and control sequence charts. Prepared BOQ, data sheets for pumps, valves, and piping specialty items. • Fourth Dhaka Water Supply Project - The scope of work was to design, drawing, cost estimation, and to prepare the installation and operation instructions of setting out of high capacity vertical axial flow submersible propeller pumps at the river side for raw water supply to the main water treatment plant. The project was consisted with 5 nos. of pumps of 7440 m3/hr capacity. • Urgent Sewerage Rehabilitation and Expansion Project (Package II) - The project consisted of 4 pump stations at different location of the city. The scope of work was to plan and implement the maintenance works of mechanical machineries like: pump (different types and capacities), hydro pneumatic system, electric motor, different valves and, fittings.
