Built all manner of websites and applications in a variety of languages, content management systems and frameworks. C#, .net, classic ASP, PHP, MySQL, MS SQL, JavaScript, jQuery.

Learnt C#/ASP.NET on the job then worked on numerous client websites and in-house projects. Also included database work with MS SQL, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and Flash.

My university degree included a 12-month work placement in the third year that we had to acquire ourselves. I worked for Raymarine in Portsmouth, split between the software team where I learned Python to produce scripts and tests for their hardware devices [GPS, Chartplotters, etc.] and Quality Assurance where the products had to be physically tested, wrote and completed test plans and often involved sea trials in the Solent! For my final month I designed, built, and implemented the Product Assurance team’s intranetsite using XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
