The Community Partnership Coordinator (CPC) serves as the Community Engagement Center’s lead representative in the community, introducing community organizations to the work of the CEC, and to the processes for building Community Engaged Learning and Academic Internship partnerships with Sacramento State faculty and students. The CPC serves as the main conduit of community service-related information for Sacramento State faculty and students; informs the campus of relevant community initiatives and programs; and works with CEC staff to ensure that the community partnership process is efficient, coherent and responsive to the needs of the community partners, SL students and faculty. The CPC works with the CEC’s Resource Analyst, designated campus IT staff and Chancellor’s Office S4 database support staff to manage the CECConnect database, the primary tool used to: a) track the status of University-Community Agency SL partnerships; (b) update and disseminate community partner information related to risk management; (c) register service learning student placements; and (d) gather semester/yearly data regarding the quantity, location and program focus of service learning placements and partnerships. The CPC will also work with the CEC Director to evaluate the quality of Community Engaged Learning experiences, Academic Internships.

Provided direct support for the Director of Sacramento State's Center for College & Career Readiness (CCR) and the Early Assessment Program (EAP). This position will coordinate and conduct outreach presentations and activities with grades K-12 and the community to increase program awareness and foster a college-going culture among area youth as well as continue to work with our external partners in regard to early readiness signals via the Early Assessment Program. In addition, this position will assist the Project Director in coordinating, developing, evaluating, and addressing program needs as they arise in collaboration with faculty and other project team members.Duties:1. Coordinates the development of a plan to adjust high school outreach and recruitment practices to advise, mentor and direct students based on their respective CAASPP college readiness assessment results and their senior year course taking patterns.2. Provides outreach visits to high school junior and senior classes, as well as middle school classes, to disseminate information on early college readiness signals and senior year transition courses.3. Assists the Director in utilizing CAASPP college readiness indicator from students’ junior year in high school to ensure they are placed in the appropriate Math course.4. Under the direction of the Director, provides information on professional learning opportunities (Expository Reading and Writing Course (ERWC). 5. Maintains a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and othercommunication opportunities.6. Under the direction of the Director, meets with and addresses a variety of groups, including, but not limited to: school/college administrators, board members, officials of public and private agencies and corporations, to gather and disseminate information relative to a variety of Center initiatives, external programs, partnerships, and long-term project results.

The primary goal of the College Connection Coach is to establish relationships with a caseload of students at two of our area high schools to encourage and assist toward enrollment at Ivy Tech Community College. The coach will increase the conversion rate of traditional age applicants to Ivy Tech and provide strategic guidance to high school students for a completion pathway to high wage/high demand employment. The Coach will also work closely with the assigned high school(s) and Ivy Tech stakeholders on dual credit/dual enrollment, while identifying gaps in dual credit/dual enrollment offerings that must be available to lead to an Ivy Tech credential/conversion. Ivy Tech, is an outstanding and accessible option for many high school students, including those without a post-secondary plan, will be on the forefront of the Coaches referral plan. This position will be a hybrid model that will include campus-based work along with travel to the assigned high schools.
