Since venturing out into my career path, I have always known two things. Community and supporting others is important work and one that I am naturally drawn too. I have made many efforts to bring together groups working for the same cause in addition to supporting persons on an individual level. I strongly believe in collaboration and working together to achieve goals. I believe in people and value their strengths as well as see room for growth in their imperfections. I have the energy and passion for whatever the new project may be, and use both my hard and soft skills to complete the tasks at hand. Some of my greatest achievements thus far have been; providing a safe space for youth to spend their time, holding space for those going through very traumatic life experiences, educating youth and women on the importance of using art as a therapeutic tool as well as educating on a variety of topics, being a case manager who supported those experiencing chronic and episodic homelessness for 3+ years, co-coordinating the La Cloche Country Art show and most recently bringing together agencies and community members for team building and networking events that also fundraise for our organization. All of these experiences have given me a concrete understanding of how best to bring community together for the wellbeing of all and I look forward to many more years of doing just that!
