I'm a full stack web developer pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at San Diego State University. I'm studying computer science because I am passionate about using innovative solutions to help underrepresented communities! My favorite languages are Javascript (React.js, Next.js), HTML, CSS, Java, PostgreSQL, MySQL, C# and Python. My leadership and professional experiences have given me the chance to develop interpersonal and technical skills that I can apply in professional roles:As the vice president of an Out in STEM (oSTEM) chapter, I was given the opportunity to organize 4 professional development workshops for SDSU's LGBTQIA+ community pursuing STEM careers. I plan on continuing to do this as the treasurer of SDSU's Queer Students in STEM student organization. In my fellowship with Bluebonnet Data, I had the opportunity to update and debug a website for the client I was matched with and gained more front end experience using Next.js. In my externship with Netflix, I've learned a lot more about back end development in depth. Both of these experiences have made me well rounded and ready to tackle more full stack projects, and hope to learn more through CodePath's advanced web development course!Ultimately, I want to use my skills and connections to uplift other LGBTQIA+ and Latine engineers and make a positive impact in the tech industry.
