Interested in research, services management, technological and innovation projects, business management.MSc. in Electrical Engineering at Teleinformatics and Automation Group at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ), and BSc. in System Engineering and Computer at Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ). He joined RNP (Brazilian NREN) in 1998, where he has worked in operations, administration and systems development. As Special Projects Manager of the General Directory he has led and worked on several projects, and has driven the emergence and growth of the Federal Internet Exchange (FIX), and Coordinator of the Brasília PTT Metro project in CGI.br. He also was Supervisor of Midwest Community Networks for Education and Research project (Redecomep), and Project Manager responsible for RNP’s Internet Data Center organization. In 2009 he assumes the Service Management Director at RNP being in charge for communication and collaboration services, digital content delivery services, identity management services, strategic hosting service and academic network support services. In 2016 he assumes the Solutions Management Director at RNP where was responsible for managing RNP's programs and projects with partners, developed from the application of technical and methodological knowledge in the design, prototype, development, integration and implementation of innovative solutions using intensive ICT.Since 2020 is Director for Services and Solutions.He has published articles in the areas of networks, technological innovation, and science and technology policies. He also represented RNP in the ELCIRA (Europe Latin America Collaborative e-Infrastructure for Research Activities) project coordinating actions for AAI between the EU and Latin America, and promoting the deployment of eduroam services, and coordinated the RNP's participation in the MAGIC (Middleware for collaborative Applications and Global vIrtual Communities) project.
