Strayer University Student Majoring in Business Administration, Accounting ConcentrationWith a diverse career across various industries, I have attained extensive experience and resilience that I bring to my current studies. My professional path has taken me from customer service and administrative roles to leadership positions in manufacturing and tech support. During the COVID-19 shutdown, I had the opportunity to re-evaluate my life and decided to go back to college to create a better future for my children and myself. Despite facing a significant setback due to a car accident, which delayed the completion of my Associate’s degree, I remained determined and successfully achieved my goals. I earned a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding in January 2022 and will be completing my Associate’s degree in Medical Office Administration in May 2025. I am also pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at Strayer University, with an expected graduation in December 2026.My goal is to become a medical billing and coding specialist and eventually start my own bookkeeping and third-party medical billing company. I am a proud mother of four adult children and enjoy crocheting, designing documents and presentations, hiking, yoga, and continuously learning new skills. I am actively involved in my church, volunteering during Vacation Bible School and singing in the choir. (I was in the choir for seven years during middle and high school before attending college.) Known for my integrity, fairness, and strong leadership, I am dedicated to helping others and making a positive impact in my community.
