I am a software engineer with a master's degree in computer science from The University of Alabama. I actively pursue knowledge in different areas of computer science like artificial intelligence and machine learning. My primary coding language is Python at the moment. My school career has given me experience in many different facets of the field. Everything from software engineering essentials to WebGL animation for websites to data science and machine learning to digital forensics. I've worked full-stack on a mock-project for a rehab center with API connection points, scheduling infrastructure, and levels of access. I've created my own collection of data structures and algorithms in order to better understand them. This includes 3-4 trees, circular dynamic arrays, and more. I've worked on websites for the University of Alabama's Business and English colleges. For the College of Business I created a front-end foundation for an outreach site that deals with experiential learning and connecting the University internally and externally. For the English Department, I helped to create a searchable database of example essays within their Wordpress site. The essays are approved based on correct and proper usage of grammar and punctuation, so the database, called Wavelength Corpus, aims to allow students an easy-to-access area with examples of all types of complicated words and punctuation. The site launched January 2023 and can be found at wavelength.as.ua.edu. In the past, I have interned for Torch Technologies Inc. and been contracted to the Department of Defense through them. I've worked on multiple web-tools for my team that visualize vast amounts of simulation data in a concise and accurate format. The tools I worked on were extremely inefficient before I started working on them which isn't good since they're meant to save the team time. I improved runtimes of all web-tools I worked on by seconds in some cases and many minutes in others. The tools were meant to be at-a-glance for most team members, so loading times that exceed 10 minutes were unacceptable. I also decreased visual clutter and changed poorly executed data visualizations to be as concise and simple as possible while not losing any information.Past that, I worked for the English Department at UA to develop a new page on their website, and I also did research through The University to develop a system that would create a digital twin of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.I have a passion for programming and the projects I work on and am looking forward to making connections.
