Ani is a communications and fundraising professional with over 15 years experience in the non-profit, human rights and UN space. She takes an anti-racist and anti-oppressive approach to her work and is particularly interested in the intersections of gender politics, mental health, climate and social programming. She holds an MA in Gender and Peace Building from the United Nations mandated University for Peace (Costa Rica) and a BA (honours) from Queen’s University (Canada), where she studied Politics and English Literature with a strong gender/feminist focus. As a senior leader at Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights, Ani has played an integral part in the organization’s vision, strategy, and culture. She is fluent in 5 languages, including French (professional working level) and has over 6 years of management experience, including in unionized environments.
