Hello! My name's Anthony Coleman, I'm currently an MSJC Freshman! My goal is to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at SDSU. I have an affinity for buildings, I'm a model home hobbyist, and I have a hairless cat. Throughout high school, I versed myself in team building and project management however I could! I was involved with 5+ clubs including the President of a Campus-focused environmental project that got the ball rolling for the restoration of a destroyed hillside ecosystem. For a time, I also was Secretary of a Local Youth Event committee called "Youth Innovators" In which I was deeply involved in the creation process of multiple monthly events focused towards kindling the hobbies and interests of youth within the community! On top of this, I even volunteered the summer of junior year in Wildomar at "Animal Friends of the Valley" for around 100+ hours where I helped upkeep the shelter in any way I could.Now that the boring stuff is over with, buildings. I discovered my interest in building-making during quarantine when I designed a bridge for my cat out of popsicle sticks using real bridge layouts. The result turned out to be an upside-down truss, cable bridge hybrid that held up pretty well. Ever since then, it became a hobby of mine to design buildings using Revit/AutoCAD to make models out of, whether I design them or be floor plans I found online. I've been able to learn the fundamentals of both Revit and CAD through an intro engineering course I took senior year and my ENGR-154 course. From then, I've designed projects for a trailer home, a modern trolley house, a condo rec center, etc.That sums up most of the points I wanna cover. Overall during my time as an undergraduate, my goal is to collect as much time as either a CAD drafting or Civil Engineering intern as I can!
