I support and mentor the current Cal Poly ColorStack Chapter E-Board Chapter, relying on my previous 2 year experience as President. I continue to have an active role in nurturing the further growth and success of the club, ensuring we keep true to our values of supporting Black & Latinx students in tech.

As President of Color Coded by ColorStack, my long-standing commitment and goal is to support the growth and success of underrepresented Cal Poly Students interested in technical fields. Having been a leading proponent to join ColorStack as a National Campus Chapter, members have more connections to industry leaders, opportunities, and networking events. Members are my focus.

African Californios Descendant Project w/ Advisors Dr. Foaad Khosmood and Dr. Cameron JonesDeveloped a technical procedure for matching individuals in 16th-17th century census records, employing uncertainty reasoning, distributed computing, and natural language processing (NLP). Utilizing uncertainty reasoning, historically informed decisions are made to match individuals across these records. Leveraging multi-core processing significantly improves matching efficiency, reducing matching times from 9 hours to 4 minutes. To ensure accurate matches between individuals in census records and historical documents, a combination of optical character recognition (OCR) and NLP techniques, such as Named Entity Recognition, are employed. Ongoing efforts include the creation of graphical family units and their representation. This research has been accepted for publication at the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organization Conference 2024: Reinvention & Responsibility.

AI4Reporters -- Digital Democracy x CalMatters Project under Dr. Foaad Khosmood and Dr. Alex Dekhtyar in collaboration with CalMatters. 1. Upgraded and optimized legacy Python 2.7 scripts to Python 3.9, implementing performance enhancements that significantly improved script efficiency and execution speed.2. Implemented Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to analyze the sentiment of California State legislator utterances during hearings, enabling the calculation and interpretation of sentiment polarity to understand legislative trends to votes and decisions.
