Andrew Compson graduated from Oxford University in 1999 with an MEng in Engineering Science. After completing the Graduate Training Scheme at Rolls-Royce he played a pivotal role in the technical and program development of the Marine Trent 30 gas turbine engine from concept to certification.At BMT, Andrew was involved in major programs such as program acceptance of the UK MoD Type 45 Destroyer propulsion system. In 2005 he moved to Australia to establish BMT’s in-country presence and led design and support of proposed/legacy RAN vessels; and the generation of capability definition documents for projects such as the Australian Antarctic Division’s future ice breaker.From 2012 at PwC and then KPMG, Andrew specialised in engineering and asset management engagements. These included technical lead for maintenance optimisation of the Collins Class Submarine, implementation of a Logistics Support Analysis environment for the Landing Helicopter Dock Enterprise and asset management support across industries including utilities and Defence.In July 2020 Andrew joined BAE Systems Australia as Asset Management Lead in the Chief Technology Office where his responsibilities include creating a robust and flexible framework across the Enterprise.
