• Creation and red pen markup reviews of schematic drawings for substation equipment, including general arrangement, single line and control wiring diagrams using Draftsight CAD tool.
• Diagnosis and repair of electrical test equipment such as HiPots, VLFs, micro-ohmmeters and insulation resistance meters.
• Perform primary & secondary testing of HV & LV substation plant assets such as circuit breakers, distribution transformers, current transformers, voltage transformer, switchboards, motors and cables.
• Carry out partial discharge and tangent delta (diagnostic loss angle) testing on motors, transformers and switchgear as well as execution of factory acceptance testing prior to sale.
• Test substation plant and produce reports relating to current state and end of life assessment.
• Design and build of electrical apparatus for use in testing of high voltage electrical equipment.
