• Creation and red pen markup reviews of schematic drawings for substation equipment, including general arrangement, single line and control wiring diagrams using Draftsight CAD tool.• Diagnosis and repair of electrical test equipment such as HiPots, VLFs, micro-ohmmeters and insulation resistance meters.• Perform primary & secondary testing of HV & LV substation plant assets such as circuit breakers, distribution transformers, current transformers, voltage transformer, switchboards, motors and cables.• Carry out partial discharge and tangent delta (diagnostic loss angle) testing on motors, transformers and switchgear as well as execution of factory acceptance testing prior to sale. • Test substation plant and produce reports relating to current state and end of life assessment.• Design and build of electrical apparatus for use in testing of high voltage electrical equipment.• Creation of test sheets using Microsoft Excel & Word, including the creation of Excel calculators for engineering design validation.• Formation of company work procedures for Partial Discharge testing, substation plant testing & safety equipment testing to comply with relevant Australian and international standards.• Respond to customer enquiries (via phone, email or in person) provide technical knowledge regarding electrical test equipment such as HiPots, Partial Discharge equipment, transformer turns ratio meters.• Formulate and validate current loading calculations of cabling using AS3000 and AS3008.• Maintain current knowledge of standards relevant to work practices and testing methodology.
