The GPOI portfolio (which consists of 22 African countries) provides countries with funding to help train and equip them to perform United Nations Peacekeeping missions in neighboring African countries. In addition to planning and managing the program, also responsible for coordinating the program's activities with the U.S. Department of State, the United Nation's Integrated Training Services, various Allied Nations (French, British, Canadians, etc.), numerous commercial companies, and multiple agencies within the Department of Defense which support Peacekeeping Operations in Africa.
