“SELL ME THIS PEN!” I was clouded with the fear of being asked to sell something when I heard this phrase for the first time while watching 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.Came first term of MBA, when I realized that selling in exchange for money is an ART. I was scared and doubtful, but I wanted to master this art. And it can only be done by doing it. During placements, I applied only for Sales roles. Failed TWO interviews back to back. But I hung on to SALES roles. In my third interview, the CSO of the company handed me a half-filled 500ml bottle of water and asked me to sell it to his colleague. I had goosebumps for 30 seconds. 5 minutes later, I had sold that bottle for Rs.8, the MRP of a full sealed bottle being Rs.10. 15 minutes later, I had sold that company’s product to the CSO in a roleplay. 8 months later, I had sold that company’s products to MULTIPLE CLIENTS and converted business worth 7 times the TARGET set for each Sales Intern.I've come a long way since then. But honestly, I've just begun!I skydived once in Europe. A FAST-PACED environment and CHALLENGES give me a greater adrenaline rush than that.---------------------------------------------------------------------Glimpse of PAST WORK:- When Covid hit, I was instrumental in launching and scaling Career Services for upGrad, while leading a team of 15. - As an independent pro bono activity, I managed to help over 50 beneficiaries - mostly Tier 2/3 institute freshers - get jobs in 2020. - At WineWell, I rekindled my inner entrepreneur by setting up a fairly successful experiment of online alcohol delivery.- At Venture Center I mentored and co-worked with Scientists to make businesses out of their Technologies, covering Customer Discovery, GTM, hiring, and other gaps in their business cases and investor readiness. - As Chief of Staff at Sparklehood, I have built and set up two revenue generating products in 7 months while leading a team of over 15 across Marketing, Tech, Content and Hiring.- In 2024, I joined Bureau with 3 goals: Building systems for scalability, Streamlining reporting of org-wide metrics, Executing initiatives for global expansion.
