I am the facility manager for the second largest school district in Ohio (in terms of square miles that it covers.)I have a proven track record of improving operations in facility management. I pride myself in being an innovative, forward thinking management professional. My work cultivates positive results.The school district that I formerly managed was the first in the state of Ohio to earn the United States Department of Energy's Energystar LEADERS award for energy efficiency. Since then I have been responsible in having 8 separate facilities become Energystar labeled under the guidance of my energy management plan. The school district that I currently manage is currently ranked in the top 5% of k-12 schools in the nation in terms of energy efficiency. At my current place of employment I was the school district's representative through a major construction project that culminated in three LEED Certified facilities. I have been instrumental in helping five of our school buildings become solar powered through a partnership that required no out-of-pocket expense to the school district. I successfully worked to help one of our buildings receive the United States Department of Education's Green Ribbon for Schools Award, one of only 2 in the state of Ohio, and 33 school buildings in the nation to do so. This award recognizes school buildings that champion the cause of environmental stewardship in design, operations, curriculum, and promoting a culture of sustainability to staff, students and the local community. My work has successfully saved dollars, helped save the environment, and positively affected those that I serve.
