Job role:Technical focal point for all vehicle related matters including modifications, Post Design Services (PDS), technical training and defect reporting.Assess battle damage, warranty faults and recommend rectification procedures.Provision of training to new team members and oversee/advise/mentor.Work with design/project engineers to develop optimised engineered solutions. Provide feedback on technical issues and support System and Software Engineers in designing technical resolution.Carrying out all levels of repairs on AJAX Variants, Sub-Systems & Training Systems (up to Level 4) and also upgrades / modifications, as per Design changes.Perform business support administration (timesheets, procurement of equipment, stocktaking, collect and report data) using provided IT.Document, maintain and improve Work Instructions to a high technical standard.

Vehicle Mechanic:- Failure diagnosis on diesel/gasoline engines. - Inspected vehicles above MOT and VOSA standards.- Repaired damaged vehicles and replaced vital components in austere environments.- Maintained vehicles to set maintenance schedules.- Work on HIAB and Multilift. - Competent on Over-Head Gantry Cranes.- Examined and kept records of lifting and fire equipment.- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the workshop.- Managed and maintained a vehicle fleet in hostile conditions, making key and crucial decisions when called upon.First Line Manager: - Mentored, coached and supervised junior members of staff.- Negotiated with vehicle fleet management ensuring vehicles were up to date with correct maintenance schedules, releasing them in a timely manner once ready.- Regularly used an in house database system to print off job cards which would then be distributed amongst the section of Vehicle Mechanics to be completed by a targeted time. - Inspecting completed work ensuring health and safety compliant.- Ensured Health and Safety regulations were complied with and up to date.- Strong mindfulness of the welfare of team members.
