Venetia is a large open pit diamond mineLed the 20 person Technical Services Team which was responsible for all aspects of production mine geology, surveying and geotechnical engineering. Planned and initiated $70M, 3 year program to develop resources for the future open pit cuts and underground mine (ultimately lead to the Venetia Underground Project). Developed monitoring procedures to ensure newly introduced mine-to-plan production targets and carat footprints were met.
