Academic Linked Day Coordinator
I worked as an academic student support specialist during the school day, providing academic interventions for students in Chinese-Bilingual classes who are English Learners (ELL) or underperforming in order to make significant gains in reading, writing and math. I worked with a variety of students across several different grade levels, from first to fifth grade. During the after school portion of the day, I was the lead facilitator in a classroom of 25 students during homework portion of the afterschool program. I also planned and taught an hour-long activity for twenty students, involving students in elementary-age outdoor and indoor engineering and science experiments.
